Minimum requirements

We maintain a high bar — that is what makes mentor credentials meaningful to mentees. All criteria below must be met for approval.

Verifiable maritime credential: endorsements, certificates, maritime degree, or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of relevant maritime experience in your mentoring area

Professional-quality English — written and spoken

Active or recent professional engagement: worked in maritime within the last 3 years

LinkedIn profile corroborating your submitted CV and credentials

Short Loom video introduction (optional but recommended) — 3–5 minutes demonstrating your knowledge and communication style

Application timeline

Standard review: 3 business days. All applicants are required to complete a 20-minute video call as part of the process. You will receive an email with the decision either way.
