Mentorship.world is a marketplace connecting maritime professionals ("Mentees") with vetted expert mentors ("Mentors"). We facilitate the booking, payment, and completion of one-on-one online mentorship sessions. Mentorship.world acts as an intermediary and is not a party to the mentorship relationship itself; Mentors are independent professionals, not employees or agents of Mentorship.world.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity carried out under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.
Mentors are independent professionals. All mentor credentials are verified at the time of approval, but Mentorship.world cannot guarantee their continued accuracy or the quality of advice given in sessions. Mentors are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of the guidance they provide.
Mentors must not offer services outside their stated specialisation and must not misrepresent their credentials, experience, or current professional standing.
Where a mentor is found to have submitted fraudulent credentials, liability for any resulting harm rests solely with that mentor. Mentorship.world performed verification in good faith based on documents provided.
All payments are processed securely via Stripe. By completing a booking you authorise Mentorship.world to charge your payment method for the full session fee at the time of booking. Funds are held and released to the mentor following session completion, subject to the cancellation and dispute provisions below.
Session prices are displayed inclusive of all applicable taxes. The currency is EUR unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts. However, Art. 16(a) of that Directive provides that the right of withdrawal does not apply to service contracts once the service has been fully performed, where performance began with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that they lose the right of withdrawal upon full performance.
By completing a booking you expressly request that we begin arranging and confirming the session immediately, and you acknowledge that:
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights where we fail to perform the service with reasonable care and skill.
See the Cancellation Policy for full details. In summary:
